Units of the lexical-semantic group ‘Information search and receipt’ as personifying metaphors in Russian poetry

The article analyzes a fragment of the metaphorical system in language Russian poetry from 19th to 21st centuries. Specifically, analysis focuses on personifying metaphors related semantic class ‘Language and speech’ lexical-semantic group Information search receipt’. study aims determine functioning these lexical units poetry, identify classes objects personification they are combined with, establish their role organisation poetic text connection with poet's worldview. research uses Poetic Subcorpus National Corpus as its material employs corpus, field, structural-functional methods. results show higher frequency words meaning ‘Information receipt than search’ personifiers, varying distribution over comparison ‘question-answer’ images. analyzed figurative introduces dialogism into text, particularly through question-answer constructions imperative address, direct indirect speech, creating unity increasing dialogicity. such organizing internal dialogue formulating worldview attitudes is revealed.
